Due To Popular Demand, Ticket Sales Reopened

Since we closed ticket sales the other day, we’ve received quite a few emails from people who really want to attend, but can’t because the tickets are no longer on sale. We spent part of today trying to find a way to accommodate those individuals, and I’m happy to announce that tickets are once again on sale until Friday afternoon. Since it’s unlikely we’ll obtain any more sponsors this close to the event, we’re forced to raise the ticket prices such that we can recoup the full costs of each person’s ticket without any additional sponsorship funds.

Included in the price of each ticket is:

A full day of WordPress related talks
Access to an informal social event on Saturday at the Longhorn, plus a complimentary drink
Lunch and multiple coffee breaks
A one-of-a-kind piece of WordPress scwhag

Group Reservations At The Fairmont, Act Now!

Our dedicated block of rooms at the Fairmont is only on hold until this Friday, after which point the rooms will be put back into the general populace. If you’re wanting to stay at the Fairmont (and I recommend it, as it’s one of North America’s nicest hotels on the hill, and many speakers and organizers are staying there), now is the time to book.

The Fairmont Group rate link can be found here. You can also mention “WordCamp Whistler” when you call the front desk, and you’ll receive the same rate. After Friday, the rooms are on a first come first serve basis, and may no longer be available at the conference rate.

Also, after Friday the early-bird ticket discount will no longer be available, so make sure you sign up ASAP to be a part of the first WordCamp Whistler!

At WordCamp Whistler not only will you be surrounded by those who love and want to learn as much about WordPress as you, but you’ll also be networking, going to socials, watching amazing speakers (more to be announced soon) and hanging out at the fabulous Fairmont Chateau Whistler resort.

However, you need to act fast and purchase your tickets since our early bird pricing of $35 will end Janury 9th. Tickets will then be $40 until the 16th when they bump up to $50 for those who are waiting until the last minute. With ticket price you will receive all of the above as well a conference swag bag. We’re Getting Close!

First off, Happy New Year everyone! Hopefully everyone got to spend some time with their friends and family over the holidays.

WordCamp Whistler is only about three week’s away. Now is the time to pick up your tickets if you’re planning on attending, as tickets are only on sale for a short little while longer. We have a great line-up in the works, and will be announcing a few more speakers very shortly.

There are also a few more sponsorship spots available. We’re already pleased to have Molson, 6S Marketing and Automattic on-board as official sponsors. As a sponsor, you’ll get extra media coverage in our blog postings and future podcasts, and mentions on the day of the event. Plus it’s a great opportunity to be a part of the first ever WordCamp in Whistler, BC, Canada.
