WordCamp Whistler, strangely enough, started as nothing more than a casual Tweet on Twitter. Since that time, it has evolved from a concept into a full-fledged WordPress conference that will occur in the middle of picturesque Whister, Canada.
Whistler is located approximately 150 kms from the city of Vancouver, and is one of the world’s most prestigious skiing and snowboarding locations in the world. It is also the future location for many of the 2010 Winter Olympic events — it’s an ideal place to get together to discuss WordPress and to make a few new friends.
The date of the event will be on January 24th, 2009.
The Venue
The location for the conference will be at the very prestigious Fairmont Chateau Whistler. The hotel is located in Whistler’s upper village, and is situated right on the edge of Whistler mountain. It offers amazing views of the surroundings, and easy access to the mountains for skiing or snowboarding.

The Fairmont has extended us a very generous group rate of $269/night. To book, please use the following link.
Registration
Registration for the event costs $35 CAD, and can be paid via our official EventBrite page. All attendees will receive some type of WordPress swag (to be determined), and have full access to the conference and the invite-only social party in the evening.
